Jennifer Love Hewitt Shows Baby Bump, Revels in "Magical" Pregnancy

Glowing! A pregnant Jennifer Love Hewitt stepped out in Santa Monica, Calif. on Thursday, April 9, looking gorgeous as she showed a baby bump in a casual outfit.

The Criminal Minds actress, 36, smiled as she soaked up the spring sun in a pair of comfy black pants, sneakers, and a gray T-shirt bearing the image of a llama and reading, "Como se… Llama."

Expecting her second child, Hewitt has been enjoying her sophomore pregnancy. The Party of Five alum opened up to American Baby for the mag's May issue about the positive experience she's had.

"Pregnancy is magical," she told the publication. "I'm grateful. It's not lost on me what a gift it is to be able to get pregnant."

The veteran star welcomed her first child, daughter Autumn, with husband Brian Hallisay in November 2013. She told American Baby that she's learned from the first time and is being smart with her eating but embracing her new shape.

"I've been an actress for 25 years, and have had to be hungry at times for my career, so being pregnant is completely freeing," she explained. "When I was expecting Autumn, I ate everything I saw! I told myself, 'Oh there's a donut — I should have that.' Now with this second pregnancy, I know the baby really doesn’t 'need it.' So I eat healthy foods in general, but I also indulge in little things that I crave."

"Your body changes so much, and there's a sensuality about that," Hewitt added. "I say accentuate the fact that your legs look thinner than they ever have, and your boobs look great: Work it!"

Hewitt added that pregnancy has given her additional perks such as "nice pregnancy hair" and "fantastic" nails, as well as extra special treatment from those around her.

"You will never be treated as kindly in your whole life as you are when you're pregnant, especially by complete strangers," she dished. "People open doors for you and ask things like, 'Do you need some water?'"

The Ghost Whisperer actress is getting particularly thoughtful attention from her husband of about two years. "I tell Brian he should be a male doula because he was a genius during labor," she told American Baby of the American Sniper actor, 36. "He’s a very calm, super-stable person by nature and doesn't add drama. He treats me to things, like when I text him that I’m craving the cherry pie from Ralph's market. I think most men get these superpowers when their partners are pregnant."
